Born and raised in Red Deer, a true nerd, my keen interest in science and problem solving landed me at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine where I graduated in 2000. In 2003, my husband and I established East Hill Dog & Cat Hospital followed by Clearview Dog & Cat Hospital in 2013.
I enjoy many aspects of companion animal practice with dentistry being top of the list as the most impactful and satisfying part of my day - relieving the pain, the stink, and almost immediately improving quality of life - it rarely gets better than this. Providing sick or well pets with health care and helping to foster the bond people share with their pet is a true privilege. It can be both rewarding and heartbreaking but the challenge and fulfillment lies in finding this balance.
I have been fortunate to work alongside many skilled and compassionate colleagues who, over the years, have helped build our practices into places where people can expect exceptional care for their pets. Having the opportunity to meet so many people and their unique pets and share in the cycles of newborn to end-of-life for so many dogs and cats is truly amazing.
My husband and I have two sons and currently: a dog (Sunday), a cat (Fuzzy), a bird (Hawkeye) and a hedgehog (Hazel). We enjoy traveling, hiking, biking, new shoes, and spending time with family. You may also find us serving up mini-donuts in the summer and at a hockey arena in the winter.
